You Are Worthy
You are WORTHY. You contain value. Yes, you. Whether you are the clumsy or the graceful one. The smart or the clueless one. The sporty or the girly one. The Betty Crocker or the fast food one. I think you get the point. Whatever you are...it is ENOUGH. You were bought at a price. BOUGHT. That means you were purchased intentionally....for a purpose. Do you go to a car dealership, shop around carefully until you have purchased the perfect car, just to look at it and keep it in your garage? Heck no! You take that baby out and about and show it off! You drive it to and from work, to transport your children back and forth. You get the idea. But since you bought the car it has accumulated value.
1 Peter 1:18-21 (The Message Bible) explains it this way...
"Your life is a journey you must travel with a deep consciousness of God. It cost God plenty to get you out of that dead-end, empty-headed life you grew up in. He paid with Christ's sacred blood, you know. He died like an unblemished, sacrificial lamb. And this was no afterthought. Even though it has only lately-at the end of the ages-become public knowledge, God always knew he was going to do this for you. It's because of this sacrificed Messiah, whom God then raised from the dead and glorified, that you trust God, that you know you have a future in God."
I also love Matthew 10:29-31 (The Message Bible)...
"What's the price of a pet canary? Some loose change, right? And God cares what happens to it even more than you do. He pays even greater attention to you, down to the last detail-even numbering the hairs on your head! So don't be intimidated by all this bully talk. You're worth more than a million canaries".
I know you've heard the saying..."one man's junk is another man's treasure". Let's just get straight to the point.
Maybe the world has considered you junk. Not pretty enough, not skinny enough, not smart enough, not talented enough. You may have been thrown away and labeled useless, expired, and worthless. And when people shop around they overlook you. For whatever reason, you've not felt good enough lately. I don't know what your struggles are. Maybe you are tired of being overlooked. Maybe you believe you have what it takes to sing those songs, write those books, lead those employees...and for whatever reason people are overlooking you and not giving you a chance to step out and really show them what you're made of. You may have been labeled as "junk". But God sees your true value. He sees you as treasure! Regardless of the barricades and boundaries that have been placed in front of you, keep pushing forward! The creator of the universe sacrificed his own son's blood to purchase YOU. God created you, and then purchased you! You may have been misplaced for awhile, but He found you and bought you back. He has a purpose for you. You are WORTHY. Not because of anything you have done, but because of what God sacrificed to purchase you. He's majestic and mighty, and He didn't have to buy you back. But He chose you with intention. For a purpose. His purpose.
He created you, He painted you. The value of a piece of art comes from the artist's hands, and what they envisioned it would be before they even began. They've taken that idea, that passion, and everything they are inside, to create this work of art. And a good buyer sees the value in that. God loves you so much, He created you and then bought you back, because He saw your value. He knows you.
So everything you've believed about yourself lately, get rid of it. It is a lie. As long as the creator of the universe sees your worth...it doesn't matter what everyone else thinks or says.
God has a plan for you. God made you for a purpose. Walk in that. Own that. No one can ever replace your worth, except you. You can never be devalued. You can't take away the value of Gold. And you may be rough around the edges like a piece of coal, but if you allow the refinement...your diamonds will appear! Change is hard, but it refines us into something beautiful and fresh! Cling tight to the truth of God's word and you shall see His promises come to pass!
YOU ARE WORTHY. YOU ARE VALUABLE! Don't let the world take it away from you ;)
